At Forage we love flowers - in food and in a beautiful bouquet; we're equally sentimental about a bit of old fashioned romance, so perhaps is was inevitable that we'd create an offering to help make your wedding day as special as possible. So, we're teaming up with a wonderful cut flower grower & florist Amber Delahooke from Grove Farm in Longtown, and a fantastic Abergavenny based illustrator to offer Forage Favours; we hope you'll like the idea....
Infusing the edible flowers that feature in your wedding bouquet into a beautiful seasonal preserve, your guests will literally be able to return home with the essence of your wedding. We'll work with you to choose a flower that looks beautiful and tastes equally as lovely in a preserve - jelly, jam or syrup.
All of the flowers we cook with come from Amber's organically tended garden - her choice of plants is quite frankly heavenly - phloxs and poppys to corn flowers, primroses, violas and lavenders, Amber's garden of unusual varieties is both a feast for the eyes and for the stomach as much of what she grows is edible. We frequently use her blooms in our preserves and flowers in our vases. She can work with you to create the wedding flowers of dreams or supply her stems to your florist of choice.
Once we've created your bespoke preserve, our wonderful illustrator and printer will finish off your favours with stunning hand designed labels, blending in with your wedding tones to the closest Pantone shade possible! (At forage good finishing is very important to us - you might say we're obsessed!)
Hand wrapped in tissue, your little special pots will be delivered with great care in advance of your wedding - allowing you to sit back and only have to worry about the seating plan, the speeches, the order of service, the license, the flowers, the food, the entertainment.......but at least your favours will be in hand and in moments of stress induce delirium you can admire your box of beautiful preserves for your guests!
